Our brain is designed in a way that we want to be liked and to seek connection. Conflict feels like a lack of connection and a fear of losing that relationship. This can lead to avoidance of our own emotions or opinions to avoid conflict. We deserve to have our thoughts and feelings acknowledged and validated.
I teach others to take ownership of their feelings and separate theirs from others. The only feelings we can be responsible for our own. We can face the fear of conflict and recognize our worth to get our needs met.
