It never should have happened.
At some point in your life, something happened that shouldn't have. Maybe, it could have been handled better. Maybe it wasn't one thing but a series of little things that built up over time, it felt normal but now you realize how much it was affecting you.
Regardless of what happened, it still affects you all the time. You are always on edge and walking on eggshells. You can't seem to shake the feelings that it's your fault and you should have done something about it.

My approach:
Turn the intolerable feelings into something manageable.
Trauma is the body's natural defenses to keep us safe. Like a muscle that is tight or spasming, our body is struggling with relaxing after the danger has cleared. You'll learn to tune in to your body to find where the trauma is still holding on. We'll then learn how to use resources to slow down your thoughts and defenses in a way that your body and nervous system feel safe.
We'll process through the sensations and memories in a way that steps fully into the feelings until they're clear.
