You know you don't want to live this way anymore.
This constant going, going, going has left you feeling so tired that even upon waking you're exhausted by your day. You've tried to make changes but it still keeps coming back to the same things.
You don't have to keep feeling this way and you do have a choice.
First, the feelings you are having are important and they are normal. Not only that, your feelings are okay to have. You've been taught you need to hide your emotions and not burden them onto others. I struggle with these same experiences myself and want to be there to help you move past these old beliefs and values you've had thrust on you.

It's become clear that holding them inside is not helping and is in fact hurting.

You deserve a space to talk about your feelings without fear of judgement or that they'll be used against you. You deserve to learn the tools to be able to communicate your wants and needs to others and feel free from the pressures of who others want you to be.

Imagine you were told you'd need to climb Mount Everest
You'd probably think that it was crazy and you'd have no idea where to start, how to prepare, and you'd want to give up before you even started.

But imagine you were told you'd have all the resources you'd need to get you in shape, properly trained and prepared, and you'd have a guide and coach there with you all along the way. It'd still seem hard but maybe more doable.

This is my aim for therapy. By starting with giving you the necessary tools and resources, you will have what you need to get you to where you want to be for true healing.

How I Work
Therapy with me...
I go beyond regular talk therapy, using techniques that connect the body and the brain to gain more perspective and unlock your true healing potential. I use the Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM) to delve in and work on the root issues.
Therapy with me is a safe space, free of judgement, in which you can bring what is important to you and we collaborate together on what needs to be worked on.
I use a supportive and gentle approach while also being your guide and coach as you work through your healing journey.

Experience and Training
I have been working in the mental health field for 10 years with various locations including residential treatment, inpatient hospitalization, community mental health, and private practice. I've worked with a variety of populations including developmental disabilities and autism, LGBTQ+, teens, and adults. I have training in Trauma-Informed Care, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness. I am also trained in Comprehensive Resource Model for somatic processing and parts work.
Location
Mindful Balance is located in at 510 Hartbrook Dr Suite 205 in Hartland, WI off of Hwy 16 across from Hartbrook Park. It is within walking distance from Arrowhead High School. Enter through the North Side entrance. The suite is on the second floor and requires ability to use stairs. Virtual sessions are available as well. Restrooms are located on the first floor.
